Course Aim:
A Learner credited with this unit standard will be capable of identifying, containing, preventing and extinguishing different types of fires by operating basic fire fighting equipment.
Course Outcomes:
The qualifying Learner will be capable of:
- Identifying different types of fires.
- Explaining and practicing fire prevention.
- Operating basic fire fighting equipment.
- Performing basic fire fighting procedures.
Course design:
This is a full 1 day course covering 4 modules including a practical session.
Assesment
Assessment is done by Self, Peer and Facilitator evaluation throughout the course.
